December 22nd, 2012 – Kevin & Danielle Jonas Celebrate Third Wedding Anniversary

Three years in, and still going strong.

Kevin Jonas and his wife, Danielle, celebrated their third wedding anniversary on Wednesday, Dec. 19, and from the looks of things on Twitter, they’re happier and more in love than ever.

“Being married to your best friend makes 3 years go by in a blink of an eye,” the 25-year-old singer tweeted on their happy day. “I love you @daniellejonas.”

His bride responded in kind: “Happy Anniversary to the love of my life,” she wrote, alongside a photo from their 2009 nuptials. “It’s impossible to love someone more than I love you.”
Jonas’ dad, Kevin Jonas Sr., also tweeted about the occasion, noting that three years together is “like a 30th anniversary in Hollywood years!”

The Married to Jonas stars feted their marriage in the lap of luxury, checking into the Presidential Suite at New York’s super chic Gansevoort Park Avenue hotel, a source tells Us Weekly. There, they enjoyed a romantic couples massage at Exhale Mind Body Spa, which gifted the pair with some special goodies and a private champagne toast.

“We were so thrilled that Kevin and Danielle decided to spend their anniversary at Exhale Mind Body Spa!” a rep told Us.
“Couples massage with my beautiful wife @exhalespa,” Jonas wrote on Twitter. “Love you baby. Happy Anniversary!”

After their day of rest and relaxation, the happy twosome shared an intimate dinner at Ristorante Asellina, where an insider told Us they were “all smiles” as they “sipped on celebratory prosecco and chatted intimately.”

Jonas and his wife, a former hairdresser, married at Oheka Castle in 2009, after meeting on vacation in the Bahamas in the spring of 2007. Their E! reality show, which follows the couple as they balance fame and family, was recently renewed for a second season, set to air next year.

That’s why HuffPost Celebrity decided to launch its all-new #nofilter quick-fire question and answer series. Because how well do you know someone until they’ve shared their guiltiest pleasures?

2012 was a good year to be a Jonas. Nick Jonas landed a gig in the smash Broadway musical “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,” Joe Jonas released his first-ever solo album in October, and the hit reality TV show “Married To Jonas,” starring Kevin Jonas and his wife, Danielle Deleasa, has been renewed for a second season. It is no secret that this kind of success comes with its fair share of pressures. So when we had the opportunity to catch up with the incredibly down-to-earth couple behind the hit E! reality TV show at the Cold-EEZE & City Harvest food drive to benefit Hurricane Sandy victims, we figured, what better opportunity exists to put some of these rumors to rest?

What is the most ridiculous rumor you’ve ever heard about yourself?
Kevin Jonas: Well, she hears that she’s pregnant, like, every day. I mean, it will happen, but not today!
Danielle Deleasa: I think that’s the major one that everyone pinpoints on me.
KJ: But that’s OK, they’re all just excited.

If you could give advice to a younger version of yourself what would it be?
KJ: Happy wife, happy life.
DD: [Laughs]

Any New Year’s resolutions this year?
DD: We asked each other that the other day too, but we never came up with one!
KJ: I think it’s always the simple ones like “get in shape.” I’m going back on the road, so being able to handle playing for two and half hours onstage takes a lot out of you.
DD: Wait, I know there’s a good one, I just have to think!
KJ: Oh, she said to learn a new recipe each week. It’s actually a really smart one, because if you do that once a week, it’s 50-something recipes.

How many times a day do you brush your teeth and floss?
DD: Twice!
KJ: At least twice.

Do you ever cheat at board games?
DD: Tell the truth, Kevin!
KJ: I might, once in a while, to try to beat her. But she kicks my butt in Scrabble and I hate it! I’m a huge Monopoly fan, too.
DD: He’s competitive.

After watching a new flick inside, Kevin, Danielle, Joe, Blanda and Nick headed to Alcove Cafe for a bite to eat.

After three years of marital joy with Danielle Deleasa, the eldest of pop group Jonas Brothers is ready to embrace fatherhood.

The trio were in town for their Live in Singapore concert, held at Fort Canning Park on Oct 22.

In a telephone call from New Jersey, the 25-year-old revealed the possibility of a mini Jonas: “We hope so, at least. Very soon.

“(It’s all about) the right timing.”

It is no secret that the married man is crazily in love with his wife – even over the phone, his sheer elation was impossible to miss.

It was endearing how he could hardly stop himself from declaring how great she is and how happy he was to be with her.

“Married life is amazing, I’m lucky to be married to the right person. I’m so thrilled that I’m with (her) and that I’ll be spending my life with her,” he gushed.

He couldn’t even fault her on her flaws.

“I love everything about her, even her flaws are great. It shows her vulnerability, shows her as a person I want to be with. I don’t care.”

There must be a catch in all this perfection.

Yes, like most couples, they have their fights, but even then, they were caused by mere misunderstandings. Their first disagreement came about because Kevin was unable to meet her at her place as they had planned, due to work.

“But at that moment, I realised that I wanted to be there more than anything in the world,” he said.

It was also at that moment that he first thought of spending his life with her.

The pair met while on family holidays in the Bahamas in 2007.

On the last day of his holiday, and her first, they spent the entire day together before he left. Although she thought nothing more of it, he knew that she was the one he wanted to be with.

“You’ll know when you know. It’s a feeling you can’t explain.”

The pair tied the knot in 2009.

Surprise

The lucky Mrs Jonas is in for a treat on Dec 19, when the pair celebrate their third anniversary. He has a surprise up his sleeve.

“We’re not sure of our plans because it’s so close to Christmas, but we try to do something fun and different. I have something planned for her, but I don’t want to give it away.”

The couple now star in their own reality television show, Married to Jonas, which airs every Sunday at 10pm on E! Entertainment (StarHub TV Ch 441).

Viewers are given a peek into their life together as well as their encounters with the In-Laws.

The series also features his good-looking younger brothers Nick and Joe as the band head back to the recording studio to work on their new album.

Before filming Married to Jonas, he admitted that he had concerns about his personal life being caught on camera.

He said: “I was a little (worried), but I weighed my options, to see if I was ready to open up my life to scrutiny.

“We just needed to be ourselves, the rest should speak for (itself) .”

The most important thing to Kevin is that the audience sees the couple for who they really are, be it as individuals or as a couple.

“People have a lot of misconceptions (about us),” he said.

“We did the show to set the record straight.”

Jonas also has a small, simple piece of advice for other couples out there: “Happy wife, happy life.”

We’ll take his word for it.

Rather than shy away from the limelight as he becomes a man, Kevin has decided to embrace the public fascination in his personal life, inviting the cameras of E! to film his as he starts married life with his partner Danielle.

We got the chance to have a quick Q&A with Mr K. Jonas to find out more.

What was the motivation for you do to a TV show like this, which exposes your private life?
“It’s funny, because I’ve been approached a few times and we always declined previously. And then we met with Ryan Seacrest and he asked again and we thought, you know, why not? We enjoy watching reality shows on TV and it could be fun. And it has been so much fun and we hope that you enjoy the show too.”

Was there anything you didn’t want filmed or that you asked the producers to cut?
“We were pretty open to the cameras. Obviously they didn’t follow us to the bathroom or film us sleep, that would just be weird. But I think if you’re going to do a reality show you have to be true so we pretty much let the cameras follow us everywhere.”

Was Danielle on board with the idea from the start, or did she take some persuading?
“At first yes, because she’s quite shy and reserved and not used to being in the spotlight. So we had to really think about whether to do the show or not and make that decision together, but she’s been great and we really didn’t have anything to worry about.”

Is the biggest strain on your relationship the pressures and schedule of your music career?
“We’re a young married couple and we go through all the ups and downs that every couple goes through, we’re no different. It can be difficult for us because when I’m touring with my brothers, as I hate being away from Dani. That’s the worst thing about my job, but we work through and it just means when we do have time together we ensure we make the most of it and have fun together.”

How did your family respond to the news you were making the show?
“They were great and very supportive. You definitely see my whole family as well as Dani’s whole family in the show. It’s really exciting as my brothers and I are back in the studio working on new music and our tour, so you see a lot of us in the studio and creating music together which we love. It’s a really exciting time for us and our music careers.”

Do you think there’s anything that will surprise viewers in the show?
“I hope people enjoy it and it gives our fans a little inside peek to our lives, which I guess for the most part is pretty normal. Maybe that’s what will surprise viewers, that we’re a normal couple with amazing families and all the craziness that comes with having in-laws.”

You’ve grown up in the spotlight, have you ever been tempted to quit showbiz and live a quiet life?
“My brothers and I have basically grown up on screen, and we feel so blessed and lucky because it’s been amazing. We have the best fans and we’re so exciting to be making music together again and starting our tour. It’s incredible. But I think you will see on our show, that we’re all normal and grounded and have a normal life when we’re not on stage and performing. We’re kind of regular guys.”

We get to meet your in-laws on the show – do things always run smoothly between you and them?
“Dani’s family are great and I’m really lucky to have them as in-laws. But it’s definitely not all plain sailing. They are such big characters who aren’t scared to speak their mind, and we have different points of view at time, so we have to work through that. Her dad also just appears unannounced at our house quite regularly which can be unnerving, and you see all of that on our show. But they’re great.”

How do you think Jonas Brothers fans will respond to seeing you and Danielle together on the show?
“I hope that everyone will see what I see in Dani and how amazing she is and fall in love with her too. She really is the sweetest, most beautiful and caring person in the world. She’s always looking after people and putting everyone first. Because she’s quite shy she always stays in the background so this will be the first time that our fans and the viewers will see her in the foreground, and I really think they’re going to love her.”

When we last saw Kevin and Dani, the Jonas Brothers were reuniting as a band and preparing to release a new album and, perhaps, even embark on a tour — while Dani was still considering the potential trials of having a baby with a touring music superstar like her husband. Elsewhere, Kevin’s father-in-law was recovering from consuming all the gelato in all of Italy, his sisters-in-law were having a lot of opinions, and we’re 90% sure Nick was quietly planning world domination from Joe’s guest bedroom. We can’t be sure about that last part.

Luckily, there’s more to come. “We are excited to continue following Kevin and Dani’s journey as they juggle love and marriage with pop superstardom and eager in-laws,” Lisa Berger, president of programming at E!, says in a statement. “Season 2 of ‘Married to Jonas’ will continue to solidify E!’s can’t miss Sunday night reality block.”

Executive producer Ryan Seacrest adds, “As we thought they might, Kevin and Dani Jonas proved both relatable and captivating to E! audiences. We’re excited to continue chronicling their marriage and relationships with extended family and friends in season two. I expect they’ll continue to charm and amuse people along the way, generating even more Jonas family fans.”

In Season 2, the JoBros will finish up their album and head out on tour, while the Jonas and Deleasa families continue to get to know each other better. Dani will also consider starting her own business back in New Jersey, and, we assume, continue to battle her crippling anxiety while we watch, fascinated by her pain.

As one part of the band The Jonas Brothers, Kevin is living in the hectic world of a modern pop star. When he married down -to-earth Danielle, the pair realized just how much work they have to do in order to try and maintain a normal marriage and make their house a home.

The series’ inaugural season focuses on Kevin and Dani’s evolving relationship with each other and their respective in-laws, all while taking on the challenges of Kevin’s demanding career.

With his famous brother Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas popping up throughout the show, we love getting a look at the lives of this famous family.

We spoke to the lovely Kevin to see how he’s feeling about the new show…

Hi Kevin, how did the show come about?
It’s funny because I’ve actually been asked to do a reality show in the past and always declined. But I met with Ryan Seacrest recently and he asked me again, and we decided, you know – why not?

As part of such a famous band, did you have reservations about revealing so much of your personal life?
At first yes, but then then we decided why not? I was more worried for Dani as she’s shy and quite reserved and doesn’t really enjoy the public appearances that come with my job. So we took a long time to come to the decision to do the show and she’s been great. She’s really enjoyed it and I’m looking forward to our fans seeing her and getting to know her a little bit because she truly is the most amazing and wonderful person.

Were you nervous to have your marriage filmed by a TV crew?
No not really. It was strange at first to have cameras in our house and following us everywhere, but you really do get use to very quickly and almost forget they’re there which is quite bizarre. I was a little nervous if we were having a disagreement or an argument about something but that’s reality so you have to include it. We’re not perfect and we don’t always agree. We’re a pretty normal couple who have their ups and downs.

Was it weird to watch your life back through the eyes of the camera lens?
Yes it was. It’s amazing how many things you say or do that you completely forget saying. I remember watching some parts, thinking “I didn’t say that”, but I had and completely forgotten about it. It’s kind of weird really.

Yourself and your brothers did a film about going on tour, how was filming the series different for you?
I guess it’s different because it’s focusing on the music and your job, rather than your whole life and your relationship and your in-laws. But my family and Dani’s family are in the show and you see my brothers and I working in the studio, so in some ways it’s similar. It’s really exciting time right now.

How did your brothers react when you told them about the show?
They were really supportive as were my parents and Dani’s family. They all appear on the show so you see the family dynamics which is quite funny at times.

Are you hoping to open people’s eyes about yourself, Dani and your brothers through the show?
I hope so. I hope people will have a little insight to our lives and enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making the show.

So many girls would love to be married to their favourite singer, does the show help reveal the realities of being married to a pop star?
When Dani and I met she didn’t really know so I was so it wasn’t as if she had my poster on her wall or anything like that. We met on holiday and it was love at first sight. In terms of revealing the realities of being married to a pop star you do see what it’s like in our lives juggling home life and my career with the band and rehearsals and tours and stuff.

Are you hoping to be an inspiration for other young couples?
That would be great wouldn’t it? You know the show is more of an insight into our lives and our families. If other young couples find inspiration from seeing us then that’s truly amazing. I would love it if people thought we were inspirational to them and had an positive impact on their lives.

Do you hope to have the same success as a family as say the Kardashians?
Keeping Up With The Kardashians is a phenomenal success and Dani and I love the show. They are a crazy family, with so much drama, I love it and I think they’re great. I don’t know if we will be as successful as them as our lives are so different so as long as people enjoy our show, we’ll be happy.

What has reaction to the show been like so far?
It has been so positive, it’s amazing. Our fans have been great as always and we just feel so lucky.

How many more seasons of the show would you like to do?
I’ve really not thought that far in advance. If we could do a second season that would be great. We really had so much fun doing this season and it’s really fun to watch yourself back, albeit a bit cringeworthy at times as well.

What has been your favourite moment from the show?
That’s a tough question, we’ve really enjoyed so much of this experience. I think for me having Dani be more in the spotlight instead of in the background has been great. She’s so shy and hates the spotlight so I loved that people got to see her and just how truly amazing and wonderful she is. She’s the sweetest most thoughtful person I know and the response she has had has been great.
